Art & History Woven Together.... ambled from one area to the next - weaving a story of Navajo History. Beginning with the Historic Blankets and Serapes, with many examples of both weaving styles and their evolution through the early years of Navajo Weaving. Then as the title suggests the exhibit reflected the evolution of the early regional styles of Navajo weavings from various Trading Post Regions of the Navajo Reservation. Early examples of distinct areas from Ganado, Crystal, and Teec Nos Pos are revealed as well as styles like Yeis, Pictorials, Two Grey Hills and Bistie. Many weavings showed off the influence of early Traders including; JB Moore, Lorenzo Hubbell, and CN Cotton.

And last but not least there were a few Navajo Saddle Blankets - of the fancier type. All in all, a visual, tactile, and spiritual experience to wander through this Historic Exhibit - a group of weavings never to hang together again.

A milestone event sharing the woven history of the Navajo Weaver to fill this exhibit hall with memories, art, spirit, and energy from the Navajo Weavers of a time past.

This historic Exhibition broke all previous attendance records at the Wickenburg Museum.
